Position Summary:
Barn Warehouse Operative
Primary Responsibilities:
- Unloading and receiving product in storage barn
- Organization and cleanliness of barn and chemical trailer
- Assist with transfer of barn product to Chelmsford
- Stocking and tagging of product in store and bagged good shed
- Assemble furniture and light carpentry
- Assemble and care for fountains
- Assist in merchandising and unpacking product
- Assist with loading customers cars
- Maintain and organize hard goods around garden center
- Recycling cardboard and Styrofoam from unpacking product around garden center
- Assist when needed in Chelmsford in unpacking and displaying product
- Deliver and display statuary, fountains, planters, etc. at clients home when needed
- Assist with unloading and loading of plants in the commercial department when time permits
- Cleaning: wash floors, clean bathrooms, empty trash and recycling in garden center daily
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Drive a fork lift
- Be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Safety conscious
- Team player
- Written and verbal communication skills
