Position Overview
The Yard Operations & Facilities Team Member is a physically active, multi-functional role that supports yard operations, customer service, and site infrastructure. This position combines plant material handling and customer-facing responsibilities with hands-on exposure to irrigation systems, equipment, and general facilities maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities
Yard & Customer Support
· Locate, pull, and stage plant material for walk-in customers, deliveries, transfers, and special orders
· Assist customers with plant selection and safely load material into vehicles
· Verify order accuracy against invoices or sales tickets
· Support sales staff by quickly and accurately locating product
· Maintain clean, organized, and safe yard and loading areas
· Assist with tagging, labeling, and staging for deliveries and customer holds
· Support early-season unloading of incoming plant material
Sales & Plant Knowledge Development
· Build foundational plant identification knowledge
· Support section managers with inventory organization and merchandising
· Communicate product shortages or substitutions clearly to the sales team
· Provide courteous, professional customer interactions consistent with Weston standards
Irrigation & Facilities Support (Developmental Component)
· Assist in maintaining irrigation systems, hoses, valves, and watering schedules
· Support seasonal irrigation setup and breakdown
· Assist with minor facility repairs and general property upkeep
· Help maintain equipment, carts, and yard tools
· Work alongside management to learn broader nursery infrastructure operations

Qualifications & Requirements
· Prior experience in nursery operations, landscaping, irrigation, or physically demanding outdoor work preferred
· Strong interest in learning irrigation systems and facilities operations
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
· Basic plant knowledge preferred (or willingness to learn quickly)
· Valid driver’s license required
