Job Overview
Weston Nurseries is looking for a Full-time operator to lead our growing bulk material business “Weston By The Yard” in Hopkinton Massachusetts. We are known for our high-quality compost that we make right on-site in Hopkinton and we offer a large selection of other bulk materials including topsoil, mulches, sand & gravel products and various blends. We sell a large volume to area landscapers and homeowners and we deliver materials in all different sized trucks. The business is expanding and now offering bulk bags or super sacks to the local marketplace. The ideal candidate we are looking for has the following skill sets and career objectives:
Primary Responsibilities
· Able to operate heavy equipment including front-end loaders, skid steering machines, and medium-sized dump trucks
· General experience with measuring inbound trucks and proper loading on outbound pick-ups and deliveries
· An understanding and a high level of interest in making and maintaining a high-quality bulk product, whether it be topsoils, mulches or compost
· Ability to learn our point of sale computer system to enter orders, track inventory, maintain accounts, etc.
· A friendly demeanor who enjoys interaction with our customers, vendors and fellow employees
· A person who prides themselves on operating within a clean and well-presented environment
· Someone who is interested in initiating new programs and products that further grow our bulk materials business
