Weston Nurseries is looking for the right candidate to join their wholesale sales team. This a great and rewarding opportunity for a motivated self-starter with a horticultural background. The right candidate must deliver the best in class service while increasing sales and profitability. He/she must have the ability to handle sales objectives and to close the sale. This is a full-time seasonal position with benefits.
Meet annual sales and margin goals thru Market Share & Service Share Acct’s
Respond to customer quotes daily or as assigned by manager
Prospect and close new business via telephone prospecting, customer visits.
Work with all customers in the wholesale sales yard by walking them through the sales areas of the nursery for quick sales.
Solve customer problems by pro-actively addressing all quote and sales order changes to eliminate customer disappointment.
Support all other Weston Nurseries staff by assisting in stocking plant material, loading customers, receiving & tagging plants as directed by management.
Work with Operations Manager to ensure customer satisfaction
Keep personal workspace and commercial sales office clean, organized and presentable at all times
All other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Sales
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Horticulture
High School Diploma/GED
General Horticulture knowledge, MCH or MCLP certification a plus
Horticulture industry or Nursery sales background
Three to five years of experience in the Horticultural Industry
Nursery/Hardscape Sales Experience
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Telephone prospecting and networking skills
Ability to handle sales objectives and close the sale
Negotiation and problem solving skills
Patience and the ability to adapt to change
