Job Posting: Cashier
Weston Nurseries, one of the area’s leading garden centers and wholesalers of plant material and gardening products, is excited to announce we are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and enjoys working alongside a dedicated team of professionals.
The Cashier serves as a key point of contact for our customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently handling sales transactions. This role also supports retail operations through organization, cleanliness, and product stocking when not directly assisting guests.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Accurately process payments including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and coupons using the Epicor POS system
- Provide helpful information to customers about store policies, products, and procedures
- Maintain clean, organized checkout stations and surrounding areas
- Ensure drawer balances are correct at the start of each shift
- Stock shelves and price merchandise as needed
- Use a radio or other tools to request assistance when necessary
- Assist with organizing and tidying workspaces and materials when not directly serving customers
Requirements:
- Professional, customer-first attitude with excellent communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Prior experience in retail or cashiering preferred
- Familiarity with Epicor POS system is a plus
- Must be able to work weekends
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative setting

- Job Title: Cashier
- Pay Range: $15 – $20 BOE
- Work Environment: Retail setting with indoor/outdoor responsibilities; weekend availability required
