Bulbs are little round root balls of flowering beauty power that make us wait (in some cases) weeks or months for results — but we can all admit that when they bloom every bit of energy and effort that went into planting them is worth it. The term “bulb” refers to true bulbs and plants with tuberous roots, tubers, corms, and rhizomes.
Spring bulbs are also called hardy bulbs, these beautiful plants flower in spring. Some of the more common spring bulbs are tulips, irises, daffodils, hyacinth, allium and crocus. These bulbs need several weeks of cold temperatures to break their dormancy and flower to their full potential.
