Globe Thistle

Bold, 2", steel blue, long-lasting flowers in late summer. Silvery, pointed, serrated leaves. Deeply divided green basal foliage. Deadhead initial blooms and smaller secondary blooms will appear. Cut back to basal foliage for winter. Clean up remainder in spring. Suitable for seashore gardens. Tolerates poor, sandy soils and is drought tolerant once established. Deer resistant. Nice dried flower. Spacing: 16".
