Purple Coneflower

White flowers with bronze centers in a compact and well branched plant, July - October. Floriferous in the first year. Native to the mid eastern USA. Prefers well drained, only moderately fertile soil. Should have good winter drainage. Divide in spring. Rarely severely damaged by deer. Attracts butterflies.  Cones attract birds if allowed to stand during winter. Spacing: 12-18".
