Bleeding Heart

Deep rose red heart-shaped flowers edged in white, spring to frost. Flowers held well above lacy gray-green foliage with which they contrast beautifully. Reliable moisture needed for the best flowering. In full sun, plant will likely go dormant, so performs best in part shade, shade. Best in fertile, well drained soils rich in organic matter. An annual side dressing with compost is a great idea. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Compact plant. Spacing: 12".
