Azalea

Miniature evergreen. A kiusianum hybrid. Slow growing and mound-shaped, growing less than 3" a year. A profusion of tiny dark pink flowers covers the plant in May. Small, rounded dark green foliage becomes reddish orange in autumn and is partially retained in planting areas protected from wind.
HERITAGE: Selected and named (for its location in Ed Mezitt's landscape -- next to his Clematis texensis) in the 1960s (5th generation kiusianum hybrid)
