Azalea

Deciduous. Summer flowering. Wide growing, mound-shaped. Round balls of sweetly scented white flowers in June, each with a yellow flare and distinctive pink stamens and anthers. Slightly glossy medium green foliage with blue-silver undersides becomes burgundy-red in autumn. This hybrid is similar to sweet azalea in many respects, but is later blooming and uniform growing.
HERITAGE: Selected from open pollinated arborescens seedlings in the 1970s
