Azalea

Miniature evergreen. Slow and wide growing, becoming more than twice as wide as high. Densely clustered, ruffled bright pink flowers engulf the entire plant in mid May. Each floret is heavy-textured and has an orange coloration on one petal. Small dark green leaves are wide, oval-shaped; the foliage retained all winter is bronze-red until warm weather returns. (-13°F, UM)
