Evergreen. Low growing and compact, maturing as wide as high. Dark crimson-purple hose-in-hose flowers mid May. An improved hybrid of Rh. poukhanense, the Korean Azalea, developed and introduced by Joseph Gable over 50 years ago. Hardy to -13 degrees F. Selected as a Proven Performer by the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society and performs well consistently in USDA Zones 5 and 6 Massachusetts landscapes.Evergreen.
