Astilbe or Perennial Spirea

Pure white well branched, nodding, airy plumes, July–August. Lovely plant for moist shade with rich deeply cut feathery foliage and elegant plumes of fuzzy flowers. Hybridized by Georg Arends of West Germany during the early twentieth century. Spacing: 18–20".
