Astilbe or Perennial Spirea

Very full red plumes, August. Red-tinted, deeply cut, feathery foliage turns green as it matures. Lovely plant for moist shade with rich deeply cut feathery foliage. Hybridized by Georg Arends of West Germany during the early twentieth century. Spacing: 18".
