Astilbe or Perennial Spirea

Dense panicles of long-lasting white flowers in July above strong, feathery, bronze-green foliage. Requires rich, reliably moist soil, although A. chinensis cultivars are slightly more drought tolerant than other Astilbe species. Adaptable to the seashore. Rarely severely damaged by deer. Spacing: 12".
