New York Aster

Vivid purple-red flowers in September-October on a long-lived, neat, compact plant. Best in soil that is fertile and well drained. Pinch back until 4th of July, not after, for  better branching and more flowers. Divide every 2-3 years in spring. Nice cut flower. Spacing: 15-18".
