Dwarf, bears semidouble bright purple flowers, September–October. Heavy bloomer. Long green hairy leaves. Best in soil that is fertile and well drained. Less prone to mildew than A. novi-belgii. Excellent cut flower. Divide every 2–3 years in spring. Spacing: 12-24".
