Bugleweed

Glossy, near-black, scalloped leaves form a dense mat. Color is best in full sun. Short spikes of deep blue flowers create dramatic contrast in spring. Unlike many Ajuga this cultivar spreads much more slowly making it a candidate for edging. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established. Spacing: 6-9".
