Kiwi, Hardy

Twining climber, requires support. Self-pollinator (hermaphroditic with "perfect" flowers) so no male necessary for fruit set. Greenish white, slightly fragrant flowers in June, fruit in October. Will flower and fruit as a young plant. Fruits up to 1-1/2" long, smooth skinned, sweet. In late winter prune each stem back to 8-10 buds for best fruit.  Full sun - part shade. (5)
