Maple, Sugar

Typical sugar maple but slower growing, less than 6" per year. Upright and columnar when young. Excellent for topiary, patio, or smaller gardens. Brilliant orange-red autumn color. Sugar maples are the native species that has made New England world-renown for autumn foliage. A long-lived tree when properly sited, sugar maples should not be planted where they will be exposed to salt. Full sun.
