Magnolia, Ashe

Vigorous robust and upright growing with thick stems and branches. Extremely large, fragrant creamy white flowers in mid to late June, often a foot or more in diameter. Large green leaves, often eighteen inches long, with lighter undersides, very tropical in appearance. A striking and unusual understory tree at the edge of its hardiness range in Hopkinton, rarely offered for sale.
