Weston Nurseries Today

In 2002, Weston Nurseries hired Gary Furst as CEO. Along with a brand new Board of Directors, Gary helped us transition from a company that was mostly focused on growing plants to one that is now much more focused on serving our customers. Much of the growing we were doing in Hopkinton was too costly because we were not able to produce a high quality finished product and sell it for a reasonable profit. Today, more of the plants we sell are brought in from some of the best growing operations in the country. Our selection has expanded, quality has improved, and our retail and commercial customers are giving us high marks.

Gary also helped with the recent ownership transition from the business being owned 50/50 by Roger and Wayne to it now being owned solely by Wayne. Much of the land was sold in July, 2007 in order to make that possible.

Now in our 86th year, we are proud of recent improvements. In addition to having a broader selection of landscape size trees, shrubs, and perennials, we have also greatly increased our selections of annuals, tropical plants, and planted containers to provide more seasonal color in your landscape. We also offer many new products and services to help you create exciting outdoor living spaces within your home landscape. These products include, benches, conservatories, water features, furniture, bamboo fencing, statuary, concrete pavers, and natural wall stone. With most of these products, we will design, deliver, and install at your home for peaceful and relaxing outdoor living.

We are excited about the future of Weston Nurseries. Over the next few years, we will be working in conjunction with Boulder Capital to build a new Garden Center and Commercial area that will allow us to provide more horticultural related products and services, more indoor shopping space, better presentation of plants and hard goods, and a more enjoyable, easier shopping experience. We always welcome your comments and suggestions, and we look forward to seeing you!
