To Our Friends
Hopkinton, MA -- 2009 will be an interesting year. Reports indicate that consumer confidence is at a record low. . . Much of the retail world is bracing for rough sailing ahead. . . We look at it like this – Gardening is cool again!
Let's face it – most of us admire folks who actively participate in their gardens and landscapes. We wish we could find the time to grow our own vegetables or build an outdoor fireplace. If you are an active gardener, you will probably do more this year. If you want to try more than fertilizing your lawn, this could be the year to get your hands dirty! Discover how connecting with the earth can be downright therapeutic.
With "change" being the operative word in our lives these days, we see changes in what our customers are asking us for.
• You want more types of fruit trees and vegetables so that you can start your own food garden at home.
• You want more small-size ornamental and shade trees to make it easier for you to load your car and plant something that grows with you over the years.
• You want to keep your outdoors colorful and be able to shop our Garden Center for a broad selection of annuals, containers, and pre-planted arrangements throughout the year.
• You think big. Your house is where you spend half your life, so you want to "invest" in it and enjoy it thoroughly. You need big plants, a new patio, or a special water garden that really tickles the senses.
We hear you and can help you with your plans for change in 2009.
And why not a discount? Gardener's Club members (you really should sign up if you haven't yet – it's free!) will receive 10% off on all shrubs all year long when you buy 3 or more of any one genus (Kalmia, Juniper, flats of Vinca, Roses, etc.).
One thing won't change. Weston Nurseries will continue to be a world-class garden center that provides outstanding plants along with the best horticultural and gardening advice.
…because life IS better in the garden.
